100 “People Intra-District Bus Service” buses have arrived from China to Karachi Port. It is pertinent to note here that a fleet of 140 buses for the transport was inaugurated by high government officials and Foreign Minister Bilawal Zardari Bhutto on Monday.
These additional 100 buses were reached to Karachi on the very next day at city’s port.
While sharing the good news with the media, Sindh Information and Transport and Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that route one of the People’s Bus Service has become operational, and the buses will soon be seen running on following a route from 1st July. Furthermore, the buses will be operational on all seven routes in Karachi in the next two months.
The Provincial Minister said that the incumbent government would soon launch the Orange line for the citizens of Orangi, Karachi. He added that in a couple of years, many more buses would be added to provide better public transport facilities to the residents of Karachi.
