Director General RDA, Mr. Saif Anwar Jappa Saif that housing schemes must obtain NOC’s before marketing.
According to the details of the statement, the DG instructed various relevant authorities like Rawalpindi District Council. Rawalpindi Tehsil Councils, Cantonment Board, and Rawalpindi Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) to only allow the advertisement publications of the housing societies that have obtained a No Objection Certificate from RDA.
The DG RDA also underlined the rapid increase of private housing societies in different parts of Rawalpindi District and said that many developers start advertising their projects before permission and approval from relevant authorities.
Mr. Jappa also instructed to take strict actions against unapproved and illegal housing societies and advised the public not to invest in any housing project until checking their status of approval from RDA.
