The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board approved a Frontier Works Organization (FWO) bid to expand the expressway from PWD to GT Road. CDA chairman Amer Ali Ahmed discussed various projects in the CDA Board meeting. It includes the bid of FWO to expand the expressway for 7 km.
The bid is worth around 11 billion for highway construction from the existing 2 to 4 lanes. It will also include the Sohan Bridge expansion. According to details, once the expansion project starts, it will be completed in around one and half years.
The CDA board approves the project through a government contractor under 43 (F) Rules of the PPRA.
