CDA has approved the construction of various projects in Islamabad worth PKR 12 billion of PC-1s. The project includes the Bhara Kahu Bypass construction, a road linking Sector E-11 with Margalla road, and repairing and expanding Park Road.
Captain Muhammad Usman informed DWP – The development Working Party had approved all of these projects. The details of the construction are:
- A 5 km road to link Margalla road to E-11 will be constructed. The route will start from the D-12 sector at Khayaban-i-Iqbal, where an interchange will be built. The project is likely to be completed within 12 months.
- Under the Expansion and repair of Park Road, the road will be widened from Tramari Chowk to Rawal Chowk, and an additional lane will be added to each side.
- Under the Bhara Kahu project, a 1.5 km flyover will be constructed from the QAU Stop of Murree Road to Jugi Stop, Murree Road. The project is likely to be completed in 4 months.
