Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has finalized ECSP to link Margalla Avenue to Islamabad Peshawar Motorway (M-1) by constructing a road section of 3.4 Kilometers.

As per details, the proposed section of roads falls both in twin cities, i.e., Rawalpindi (1.8 Km patch) & Islamabad (1.6 Km patch). The civic body has hired Engineering Consultancy Services Punjab – ECSP to develop the road section in the jurisdiction of Islamabad.

The ECSP’s scale of work includes the road project design, its environmental impact assessment (EIA), bidding documents creation, estimation & supervises road construction.

It is important to note that the Capital Development Authority called for bids from the state-owned firms & ECSP submitted bids in March 2022 for both road sections.

However, the bid was revised and submitted a bid worth 78.75 million PKR for the road section in Islamabad jurisdiction.

The bid was reviewed and approved in the latest CDA meeting. The CDA’s board also directed the engineering wing to get the consultancy work to begin soon.

The ideal benefit from construction work is subjected to the connection with the M-1 motorway. Prior to this, the avenue was to be linked to the GT Road through the D-12 sector. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtors blogs.
