The engineering wing of CDA has directed Frontier Work Organization (FWO) to ensure the Margalla road construction near D-12 according to the approved drawings. The direction was to avoid road access to illegal housing societies and constructions.
The letter was issued to FWO, which clearly stated that access to illegal housing societies is not allowed as per the available drawing of the project approved by CDA. Moreover, the letter states that any modification should be restored to the actual position without delay.
According to the CDA Officials, the planning wing has already denied the request for direct access to the societies. The request is denied to discourage the promotion of illegal housing societies. According to the plan, the road is supposed to give direct access to the old villages in Islamabad.
Notably, 80% of the construction work on Margalla Road has been completed, and the rest will be completed in a few months.
