ISLAMABAD: The CDA decided to hold an auction of vending points in different locations in Islamabad in May.
According to the Chairman and chief commissioner of Capital Development Authority (CDA), Noorul Amin Mengal, “The vending points will be constructed under a specific design to further enhance the beauty of Islamabad,” he said. He added that the successful bidder will issue a 10-year license for running the kiosks. The successful bidder will also be provided with the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) design to set up kiosks.
The auction will occur on the 15th, 16th, and 17th of May at the Citizen Club in F-9 under the supervision of the MCI. The planning wing approved the 1,807 vending points (kiosks), out of which 200 kiosks will be auctioned in the forthcoming event. The CDA chairman has clearly stated that there will be no sitting arrangements at the kiosks to prevent encroachment.
The initiative will help eliminate encroachments, encourage small businesses, create job opportunities, and increase economic activities. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtors blogs.
