Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, Chairman of Rawalpindi Development Authority, has advised the citizens to invest in housing societies after checking the status on RDA Website or at the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate.
The chairman of RDA said that the authority raids illegal housing societies from time to time and takes strict action against violators. He said citizens should not invest in unlicensed & illegal housing schemes and check the status by visiting the official website of RDA or RDA’s concerned office.
While sharing details, it was said that around 31 commercial buildings had been sealed, 3 offices of illegal housing societies had been demolished, and around 9 FIRs had been lodged last month. He also added that the operation has not stopped, and strict measures will be taken against unauthorized and unlicensed housing societies in the future as well.
