Chaudary Pervaiz Elahi, CM Punjab, has announced the provision of soft loans to restore houses and rehabilitate flood victims. The loans will be offered to restore livelihoods and rebuild and construct houses in areas affected by the flood.
The Chief Minister disclosed the package to a welfare organization working on flood recovery and management. The organization representative said they would provide construction material to the survivors in south Punjab for fast restoration of houses.
At the event, CM said that the government is devoted to restoring and rehabilitating the flood survivors on prompt. He showed his gratitude to the welfare organization at the event. He also stated that the government has planned to replicate the welfare organization employment model to provide people with survival and rehabilitation.
It is pertinent to note that South Punjab is highly affected by floods, and many regions still drown in water. The metrological department has warned about more rains in the coming days.
