COAS General Qamar Bajwa announced that Army would rebuild houses for the flood victims who had lost everything in the disaster.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa visited the disaster-struck Swat and surveyed the damages of the flood. On his visit, he told that the devastation in Pakistan was huge and urged authorities to use the international aid effectively for upcoming post-monsoon challenges.
According to the details of the rescue mission by the Army, the flood survivors were rescued from Kalam to Kanju areas of Swat. COAS also reviewed the operations at locations that include Khwazakhela, Bahrain, Kalam, and Matta areas of Swat.
General Qamar Bajwa praised the efforts of Peshawar Corps for saving precious lives and timely response. He also disclosed that National Flood Response Centre would be effectively operating along the lines of NCOC to rehabilitate flood victims.
