Lahore: A Chinese delegation showed keen interest in setting up a manufacturing plant in SEZ of Punjab.
During a meeting with Interim Punjab Commerce Minister S M Tanveer, a Chinese delegation of businessmen led by the president of TIENS group Zhang Zhang expressed their willingness to establish an industrial plant in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Punjab.
“Our group wants to increase its business activities in Pakistan and also to set up a manufacturing plant here,” stated Mr. Zhang. He added that the group is interested in exploring investment opportunities in Punjab and initiating joint ventures (JV) with Pakistani businesses.
The minister assured the delegation full cooperation and support of the Punjab government. He said, “The TIENS Group should set up factories in Special Economic Zones.”
“There are also plenty investment opportunities in the production of electric vehicles in Punjab,” he added.
The delegate was briefed about the 13 existing SEZs and six more in the pipeline. Both sides reiterated strengthening collaborative ties and exploring investment opportunities in energy, health, and technical training. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtors blogs.
