The Capital Development Authority (CDA) reported that over 50 percent of the work on the Bhara Kahu bypass has been completed. According to CDA Chairman, most civil engineering and road construction is complete.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) posted on Twitter that ongoing construction is halfway complete, and the project is progressing at full speed. The project is designed to minimize contaminants in the short term and ease the traffic in the Islamabad capital area.

This project will also benefit the foreign tourists headed to Murree. Moreover, CDA Chairman Captain (R) Muhammad Usman Younis also visited the site. After the visit, the CDA chairman urged the engineering wing to finish the project as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif instructed the project to be done before February 10, 2023, but a representative noted that the scope of this work required a more thorough approach, so it is likely to be finished in April 2023.

It is crucial to note the development of the Bhara Kahu bypass is now underway with PKR 6.5 billion and starts at Malpur and passes through Quaid-i-Azam University campus (QAU) land.
