Govt reveals New Timings for Markets Under an Energy Conservation Plan

Islamabad: The federal cabinet approved the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan, decreasing market timing to save energy and decreasing import bills.

Under the latest plan, the cabinet endorsed the energy-saving plan to close all markets by 8:30 PM and all marriage halls by 10 PM across the country, effective immediately.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Defence Minister Khwaja Asif stated that the government is on the way to saving billions of rupees in fossil fuels and facilitating the country’s historic PKR 2.437 trillion in debt since July last year. As per the new plan.

It is important to mention that PM Shehbaz has already instructed all federal units to decrease their energy consumption and alter solar energy to consolidate bills by 30%.
