Irrigation minister KP inaugurates PKR 2 billion hydropower project in Mansehra

Mansehra: Irrigation Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Arshad Ayub inaugurated a 300-kilowatt (kW) small hydropower project in Kotkay Mansehra.

While addressing the audience during the inauguration ceremony, the minister stated that the project worth PKR 2 billion would irrigate a vast area of barren lands in the hilly regions. The project will be of significant importance for power production in Pakistan. He added that the said project would be completed with the help of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other international donors.

Kotkay’s small hydropower project is one of the five small dam projects that started to provide water to far-flung areas of the KPK. The other hydropower projects include; 150kw Dum Duma, 300kw Rajwal, 400kw Biyari Manoor, and 500kW Baila Manoor hydropower project. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtors blogs.
