The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has released PKR 740 million for 44 Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs). The funds will be utilized for the infrastructure and cost of salaries to employees.
Reportedly, the funds have been released for all the tehsils including the tehsils of the recently merged districts of the region. The finance department in a statement stated that the funds have been released to stabilize the financial needs of the TMAs.
Following is the breakdown of the funds released:
- PKR 50 million have been released for the TMAs of Dera Ismail Khan and Tank
- PKR 30 million has been sanctioned for the Paharpur and Kulachi
- PKR 15 million has been approved for Paroa
- PKR 10 million has been put aside for the Drabin Kalan TMA
It was reported that the major piece of the released funds will be utilized for paying salaries to the everyday wagers and employees of the TMA before the Eid.
