Kyrgyzstan is Interested in Joining CPEC to Increase Trade via Gwadar Port

ISLAMABAD: Kyrgyzstan is interested in joining the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project and taking advantage of the Gwadar Port’s vast economic potential. This was declared by Ulanbek Totuiaev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, during a conference on Kyrgyzstan’s Business, Education, and Tourism Opportunities.

CPEC’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs) also provide several benefits. Through CPEC projects and other key landscapes in Pakistan, Kyrgyz investors may take advantage of business and tourist prospects. Both nations are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), where both governments are working to improve regional understanding on trade, investment, security cooperation, and people-to-people connections, according to the ambassador.

On December 15, Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev will arrive in Islamabad to participate in the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers on December 16-17.
