Lahore Development Authority Started Operation Against Illegal Encroachments

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched an operation against encroachments. The LDA Chief Town Planner Shakil Anjum Minhas has said that the operation aims to remove illegal constructions while ensuring 100% recovery of commercialization fees from the defaulters. The operation was launched to overcome environmental issues due to cluttered structures.

The Chief Town Planner said these operations would encourage people to approve their building maps from relevant authorities by paying a fee. The operation is launched under the teams representing different zones of the town planning wing.

According to the report, relevant authorities are actively acting against illegal construction in Gulberg, Model Town, Garden Town, Multan Road, Mustafa Town, Sabzazar, Iqbal town, etc.

Mr. Minhas further explained that in recent meetings, LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that no relaxation would be given to illegal constructions.
