Lahore: Lahore Development Authority is stepping up the anti-fraud measures by launching Internal Land Record Scrutiny. The investigation, for now, primarily focuses on the distribution of plots supplied in Johar’s Townland exchange.
Notably, the city development authority has recently taken action against land scams and arrested a few officials on the false dossier. The Lahore Development Authority has formed an investigation team to investigate real estate files that are not on the inventory list for 2017.
The investigation team will be able to make recommendations for file inclusion in the inventory based on authenticity. The investigation team/committee consists of members from relevant departments, including; Director Housing-VII Shahid Naeem, LDA’s Director IT Basit Qamar, Director of Land Acquisition Uzair Bin Tariq, Assistant Director Accounts Zahid Siddique, Director Record Management Ms. Humaira Sharif, and Deputy Deputy Director Housing-VI Jehangir Iqbal Mayo.
