Mansehra: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Balakot has given notices to 100 landlords for building houses and commercial centres along the bank of the Kunhar River.
The tehsil municipal officer said that notices are issued to the 100 owners who constructed shops and houses within 200 feet of Kunhar River. He stated that the Peshawar High Court had banned all construction along the streams and rivers. In this reference, the administration has issued warnings to owners, asking them to demolish commercial properties and houses.
Moreover, the tehsil municipal officer remarked that the judgment to set a ban was carried out after the destruction induced by the recent flash floods in the province. It was announced that the district administration had destroyed the National Highway Authority’s (NHA) toll tax plaza in the Hasamabad site in Balakot.
