Govt has stated 'petroleum products prices will remain the same as tax rates raised

Islamabad: Notwithstanding the drop in international prices, the Federal Government of Pakistan decided on Tuesday, to not change the prices of petroleum products. It will remain the same for the next 15 days with increasing tax rates. The judgment of increasing petroleum levy and GST was decided in procession to the commitments given to the @IMF – International Monetary Fund. Otherwise, prices were expected to go below by Rs8-9 per litre because of the drop in international prices.

The existing Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, and Light diesel oil prices will remain stable w.e.f 01 December 2021 at Rs.145.82 per litre, Rs.142.62 per litre, Rs.116.53 per litre, and Rs.114.07 per litre, respectively.
