Islamabad: Chinese President Xi Jinping will inaugurate an airport in Gwadar during his forthcoming visit to Pakistan, says former caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Alauddin Marri.
He stated this during his recent visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). Marri added that the airport would be a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a cornerstone of China’s One Belt One Road initiative.
During his meeting with Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of ICCI, Marri highlighted the enormous economic potential of Gwadar. He invited ICCI members to visit Gwadar to explore and evaluate the commercial investment potential.
