Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department Punjab has decided to send assessment forms along with tax challans to all real estate taxpayers of Lahore.
ETNCD has decided to send the challan to make the tax system more transparent and address residents’ issues.
According to the Excise and Taxation authorities, property owners can know about the tax amount from the notification of assessment and check whether their property is classified as residential or commercial. The citizens can contact the agency in case of the wrong categorization.
It is important to note here that ETNCD collected around 12 billion Pkr last year, but for this year, the objective is 18 billion Pkr. Therefore the department has chosen to collect taxes and amend the records according to the new classification.
