The Rawalpindi District Administration announces to launch of seven mega projects in the district by December 31st, 2022. The Officials said that all the issues delaying the start of work would be resolved by the end of the year so the development could be started smoothly.
According to the official statement, the projects already under development will be completed soon as it is directed to speed up the work and complete it on deadline. These development works include Dadocha Dam, Leh Expressway, Ring Road, Khanpur Dam Water Supply Scheme, Chauhan Dam Water Supply Scheme, and Tourism Highway of 123 Km that will be connected with four mountain areas of the district.
The projects were delayed for over a decade, which has caused to rise the estimated cost by 100 to 200 %. Chief Minister of Punjab has stressed starting the projects immediately without further issues.
