RDA develop 25 years master plan for Rawalpindi-Realtorsnews

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), in collaboration with the local government, is preparing a 25-year master plan for the garrison city.

Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Saif Anwar Jappa stated that the RDA and the local government would jointly prepare the master plan. There will be designated spaces for industries, housing schemes, and the central business district.

The chairman of RDA further added that allocating a separate area for industrial purposes would keep the agricultural land clean and safe from environmental hazards.

The RDA chairman has also urged citizens to give their valuable suggestions about Periurban Structure Plan and Site Development Zones on the RDA website

It is noteworthy that the RDA has been developing a zone development plan for the past three years. A master plan for the garrison city was the need of the hour. Due to the unavailability of the master plan, commercial areas and residential areas coexist. Moreover, there are no allocated spaces for new graveyards, parks, colleges, schools and mosques.
