Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority has subjected land-use conversion from residential plots into commercial plots to NOC from WASA.
According to the details, the Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) has requested details of every approved commercial building plan & land use conversion from residential to commercial that does not have WASA’s NOC. The authorities have also asked the defaulters to pay NOC fees, water charges and other dues.
According to the report, RDA has already approved building plans for high-rise & commercial buildings in its jurisdiction, Municipal Corporation & District Council.
DG of Rawalpindi Development Authority, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, has issued a letter to the relevant bodies stating that the water supply has shrunk due to the approval of buildings without WASA NOCs, and the sewerage network has been affected.
