The State Bank of Pakistan has instructed all commercial banks to resume the distribution of house loans under the subsidized housing scheme, “Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Scheme.” The loan distribution will continue for all applications approved before 25 July 2022.
After the State Bank of Pakistan meeting with the Ministry of Finance, the SBP informed that the decision to resume loans is taken for already approved cases under the subsidized housing scheme. The SBP urged banks to lower their KIBOR.
The bank also stated that applicants could contact the service desk of SBP online in case of any issues. State Bank also clearly indicated that it would closely monitor any matter that might cause trouble during the procedure.
