Development Work Resumed on the Widening of the Rawalpindi Soan River Bridge

Rawalpindi: The construction work at the Soan River Bridge in Rawalpindi is ongoing and is expected to be finished by the end of 2023. According to the plan, the Soan River Bridge will be widened from two to four lanes.

In April, Authorities suspended the work on widening the Soan River Bridge near the capital. In July, the agency awarded the contract for widening the bridge to Fora Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).

Furthermore, the leftover construction materials on the bridge and nearby areas are causing problems for the commuters, while the commuters coming from Rawat to Rawalpindi are facing problems as the safety walls of this bridge have been destroyed. The owner is obligated to move to complete the work within the due date.
