WB is likely to fund different housing schemes in Sindh for flood victims. The fund for the housing project will be around 110 billion PKR. Chief Minister Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, held an online meeting with the World Bank Country Director for Pakistan Najy Benhassine and said that for funds, a particular unit would be set up under Sindh’s Chief secretary.

The CM further discussed the aftermath of the flood and said that the de-watering process is going on at its full pace, and within 45 days, it will be completed. The Chief Minister shared the details of financial assistance from the World Bank and said that 13 billion PKR is required to restore and rehabilitate damaged infrastructure.

The World Bank has so far formed a committee to provide 6 billion PKR funds to the province.
