As part of the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI), Pakistan recently received a significant delivery of advanced agricultural equipment from China via the Khunjerab Pass. This effort is designed to upgrade Pakistan’s irrigation technology.
The shipment includes a variety of machinery, such as 20 tractors, advanced drip and hose reel irrigation systems, and technology for satellite and drone-based farm management. It also features smart agricultural platforms and tools for integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) into farming practices.
Originating from China, the equipment made a 5800-kilometer journey to reach Pakistan and will travel another 1500 kilometers to its final stop in Cholistan. This move is set to foster growth and progress within Pakistan, promoting industrial advancement through the introduction of these cutting-edge agricultural technologies.
