According to the notification issued by the CDA, the Sector Development Monitoring Committee, Monitoring Committee for High-rise Projects, Housing Schemes Monitoring Committee, and Rehabilitation Committee will hold monthly meetings to examine and decide on various matters related to the development of the city.

The Sector Development Monitoring Committee, which the CDA chairman will head, will comprise members from engineering, planning, estates, and the director general works, among others. This committee will oversee the development of Zone I and II sectors, including the progress of development works in various sectors.

The committee will also handle issues related to land acquisition, ownership, and demarcation of land, compensation, removal of encroachments, infrastructure development, parks development, repair and maintenance, funds, and budgets.

The Monitoring Committee for High-rise Projects, headed by the CDA chairman, will oversee high-rise projects and schemes and handle issues related to layout plans, building plans, completion certificates, and non-conforming use.

The Housing Schemes Monitoring Committee will monitor layout plans, issuance of NOCs for development, recovery of outstanding dues, allotment of plots, and violation of approved layout plans.

The Rehabilitation Committee will handle issues related to land acquisition, retrieval of the acquired land, survey lists, and shifting dwellers of recognized katchi abadis to other places.

The formation of these committees was a decision of Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal, who had to face complaints from citizens, developers, and investors on a daily basis. The CDA hopes these committees will resolve the chronic issues within a few months. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtors blogs.
