ریت، بجری، سیمنٹ، اینٹوں، اور سرئیے سمیت دیگر بلڈنگ میٹریل کی قیمتوں میں ہوشربا اضافہ کردیا گیا، اینٹوں کی قیمت 8 ہزار سے بڑھ کر12 ہزار روپے فی ہزار اینٹ جبکہ سیمنٹ کی بوری کی قیمت 470 سے بڑھ کر 770 روپے تک جا پہنچی ہے، اسی طرح ریت، بجری، سرئیے اور دیگر بلڈنگ میٹریل کی قیمتوں میں ہونے والے اضافے سے زیر تعمیر مکانوں کے مالکان مشکلات کا شکار ہوگئے۔ تعمیراتی سامان کی قیمتوں میں اضافے سے مکانوں کی تعمیر اور مرمت کا کام کروانے سے بھی شہری گریز کرنے لگے ہیں جبکہ مکانوں کا تعمیراتی کام رکنے سے مزدوری کرنے والا عملہ بھی روزگار سے محروم ہوگیا ہے
