CDA Environment Wing has opened a New Hiking Trail in Islamabad Margalla Hills for visitors and hikers. The civic body officially opened Trail 7, which will be 5 kilometers long. The trail will connect Kanithia (Alexander Well), and C-12.
Various relevant officers attended the opening ceremony, including Captain Usman, CDA Chairman, and DC Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon.
The CDA Administration has reopened Trails 1 & 2 for tourists and hikers after necessary restoration work. The restoration work includes maps installment, milestones & benches along the way.
It is pertinent to note here that Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) established the Asian Leopard Preservation Zone earlier in 2022 to conserve and safeguard Asian leopards after a few have been spotted near Trail 6 of Margalla Hills.
