MDA has sanctioned budget for various development projects

Multan: MDA – The Multan Development Authority has sanctioned a budget of 4.36 billion rupees for the fiscal year 2023-24. The funds will be used for several government-funded developmental projects in the region.

The budget was approved for numerous expenses in a meeting chaired by Mr Shakir Abbas Buzdar, Additional Director of MDA.

In a recent meeting chaired by MDA Additional Director General Shakir Abbas Buzdar, the MDA allocated funds for various expenses. The session passed a budget allocation of PKR 2.29 billion for non-development expenditures, PKR 926.822 million for MDA development projects, and PKR 1.14 billion for government-funded schemes.

The meeting was attended by various relevant departments, including the finance department, the commissioner of Multan, MDA officials, and officials from the Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering (HUD&PHE) department in Lahore.

The final approval for the budget will be given to governing body of MDA. Hence, more discussions are expected for implementing funds allocation and development schemes in Multan.
