Dec 3, 2021Bus Rapid Transit – BRT Peshawar receives the Honourable Sustainable Transport Award of 2022 which is a huge achievement for Pakistan.
The Sustainable Transport Award Committee and the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) choose a city each year that has undertaken outstanding sustainable transportation initiatives in the previous year.
“These strategies improve mobility for all residents, reduce transportation greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, and improve safety and access for cyclists and pedestrians,” stated the Sustainable Transport Award on its official website.
The government of Pakistan, including Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar and Shireen Mazari , the Minister for Human Rights, applauded the efforts of BRT management in receiving such a prestigious award.
