Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched an extensive operation against encroachments in different sectors of Islamabad.
The CDA demolished illegal structures without favor or fear. The Enforcement Directorate of the civic body executed the operation, targeting illegally occupied spaces and built structures. Unlawfully established animal sheds in Sector I-12/2 and I-12/3 were also taken down. The anti-encroachment operation was completed with the help of different departments and heavy machinery.
Furthermore, the operation was also extended to the streets and parking lots of Rawal Town. Moreover, street stalls in F-7 Markaz were removed to resolve parking problems. Similarly, numerous structures were sealed for non-compliance with GT Road Zone II building bylaws.
It is pertinent to note that these encroachments were hurdling the ongoing development works in the capital.
