Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has responded to the challenges posed by rapid urbanization and the expansion of private housing societies by establishing a new wing, “the Directorate of Regulation, Replanning, and Regeneration.”
This initiative aims to effectively address the issues arising from urban expansion and the increasing number of regional private housing developments. As per the disclosed details, the initiative, sanctioned by the CDA, is aimed at effectively and sustainably managing urban expansion in the capital city. This Directorate, under the guidance of Member Planning and Development, will work towards streamlining the development process of private societies. In order to support its operations, the CDA has ratified the appointment of a Planning Officer for grade 19.
The decision aligns with the Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice recommendations, demonstrating the CDA’s proactive approach to addressing urban complexities. This action underscores the CDA’s dedication to achieving balanced and sustainable development in Islamabad. The Board recently approved a comprehensive summary of proposed measures presented by Member Planning, further exemplifying the commitment to this cause.
