Islamabad: Chairman CDA announced that IJP road will be opened next month for traffic.
The Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, tweeted on his official Twitter account that the renovation of the IJP Road has entered the completion stages and will be opened for traffic in March 2023. This will reduce traffic congestion, making the traffic flow smooth between the twin cities.

The project was initiated in October 2021 and awarded to the National Logistics Cell (NLC). As per Project Concept-1 (PC-1), the renovation project of the IJP road was scheduled to be completed by April 2023. However, owing to the difficulty faced by the public and increased traffic congestion, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif took notice and directed the concerned bodies to accelerate the development work.
