KPK Caretaker CM Inaugrates Bannu Economic Zone

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah officially inaugurated the Bannu Economic Zone (BEZ).

Officials, including Provincial Minister of Industries Dr. Aamer Abdullah and Industries Secretary Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, attended the ceremony. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) representatives were also present.

CM KP personally handed over allotment letters to investors for the new economic venture. The BEZ spans 415 acres and is designed to accommodate 265 industrial units of various sizes. It is expected to attract investments worth PKR 10 billion, creating around 16,000 direct and 48,000 indirect job opportunities.

The CM was briefed on the performance of the KP-EZDMC, which included an overview of the province’s current and upcoming economic zones. There are 14 operational economic zones, and four more are under construction. This surge in industrial activity has resulted in a cumulative investment of PKR 346 billion in the province.
