RDA and CDA officials are directed by Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, to make a detailed plan for water conservation in the twin cities. The authorities are responsible for providing a practical and comprehensive plan for a water supply according to the growing population.
The directions were given in a workshop held under Mr. Iqbal with AFD to highlight municipal service delivery’s governing and institutional models in twin cities. The Minister also highlighted the issue of sewage treatment plans in twin cities and emphasized that authorities should launch plants to use the water efficiently.
The workshop was attended by Member Planning Ministry, CDA, RDA, Member Environment, and representatives from the water and sanitation departments from all the provinces.
