RDA and NADRA Collaborate to Streamline Property Transfers

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has partnered with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to streamline property transfer procedures by implementing biometric verification services.

The RDA’s governing body, led by Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha, officially approved this pivotal agreement. The meeting also greenlit a Memorandum of Understanding between RDA and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), aiming to enforce the e-filing and office automation system (EFOAS) with mandatory biometric verifications for property transactions.

The collaboration between NADRA and RDA, incorporating biometric verification and EFOAS, marks a transformative shift towards secure, transparent property transactions and efficient administrative practices.

Notable attendees included DG RDA, Mohammad Saif Anwar Jappa, and officials from various departments. Commissioner Chatha expressed optimism about the transparent property transfer enabled by the NADRA-RDA collaboration and praised EFOAS for its efficiency in managing tasks and facilitating a paperless office environment.

The meeting further approved reserve prices for billboards and the RDA parking plaza, anticipating a substantial 100% increase in revenue. Additionally, the RDA supported the Capital Development Authority’s decision to transfer housing schemes and commercial building processing within Islamabad’s boundaries to the federal authority. The RDA will refund building plan fees under review as a positive measure. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtorspk blogs.
