Islamabad: Support Desks for Overseas Pakistanis has been inaugurated by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister – SAPM. The support desk has been launched in the offices of the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and at CDA’s One Window Facility in Islamabad.
According to the details, the support desk is aimed to address the issues of overseas Pakistanis. Therefore, the higher officials of CDA and SAPM were in discussions to bring an effective solution. Hence, the support desk for overseas Pakistanis was launched as a result. The support desk is operational from 2 October 2023.
The chairperson of SAPM appraised the efforts of both departments and said that it is one of the significant milestones of the Pakistan government. The support desk at Capital Development authority will offer various services to overseas Pakistanis, including land & rehabilitation matters, estate management, and Building control laws. A designated official will remain available for queries and will offer guidance related to the procedures.
The ICT support desk will be responsible for offering services, including the issuance of Domicile, Arms Licenses, and International Driving Permits. The desks will operate during official hours, and 24/7 availability will be ensured through landlines, hotlines, and WhatsApp numbers.
