CCCL will use Thar Coal in Manufacturing Cement

Cherat Cement Company Limited – CCCL has signed a MoU with Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company – SECMC to use Thar Coal to manufacture Cement.

The decision marks a massive transformation in the industry as the dependency on imported coal will now be reduced. It is a great breakthrough in the construction industry of Pakistan, which is much needed for the stability of the country’s economy.

Cherat Cement will conduct trials for manufacturing Thar Coal with 4.5 million tons annually at cement plants in Nowshera. It is pertinent to note that Cherat Cement and SEMC are leading companies in their respective industries. SECMC is the leading coal-producing company in Pakistan, while CCCL is among the pioneers of the cement manufacturing industry.
