Islamabad: The Supreme High Court asked the Rawalpindi commissioner to reevaluate the land acquisition compensation for Dadhocha Dam based on market value assessment.
Justice of the Supreme Court said that prior notice from November and March 2020 will stay operational and active. A 3-judge bench decided after hearing an appeal against the Commissioner of Rawalpindi in Feb 2021.
According to the details of the case verdict, several things and factors will be considered now, including the land’s potential value, escalation from the modified notification date of publication, and new date of award will be considered as well.
According to the verdict, the Supreme Court has kept the notifications of 2010 and 2020 valid. Still, they found faults in the process of the award. Therefore, they ordered to reevaluate the acquired land compensation.
