Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has given the green light to digitize parking lots, manage traffic, and boost the local economy.
The CDA Board nodded to the digitization plan for parking facilities in the federal capital territory. The initiative focuses on business centers and shopping hubs, where parking problems lead to traffic jams.
The civic body has decisively agreed with M/S AJCL to upgrade parking sites in Islamabad with top-of-the-line equipment and management systems. The upgrade will include implementing state-of-the-art automatic and innovative parking systems to streamline operations efficiently.
During the 9th meeting of the CDA Board held on October 5, 2023, it was decided to digitize parking in the capital. The decision was finalized by signing an agreement. The successful bidder in the transparent bidding process was M/S AJCL, who retained 25% for themselves and offered a revenue share of 75% to the CDA.
