The Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of Rawalpindi have issued a deadline for filing property Tax. The announced date is September 30, 2022. The ETNCD has issued the deadline notice with a 10% hike in the tax for residential and commercial properties.
According to the relevant authorities, around 112,000 property holders have received the red letters to pay the property tax within the deadline. The department has also offered tax benefits on time. For instance;
- Concession of 10% for owners of luxury residential and commercial properties for paying on time tax
- Concession of 10% for those who will pay tax through Easy Paisa Application
- Concession of 5% for those who will pay tax through banking channels or ETNC designated offices.
- Those failing to submit taxes on time will face legal consequences.
It is pertinent to note that ETNC Department has already sent letters to taxpayers for the approaching deadline.
