The government has authorized to disburse funds of Rs.129 billion for PSDP Projects. The funds are disbursed for the fourth quarter, i.e., April to June. According to the details, the disbursed amount for Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) projects includes 27 billion for the development of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir & Ex-FATA.
The relevant ministry revealed that Water & Resources Division & HEC had been given priority during the allocation of funds. As per the details;
- 5 billion rupees has been released for The power Divison
- 4 billion rupees for the Ministry of Housing & Works
- 8 Billion rupees for the Ministry of Railways.
- 30 billion rupees have been released to the Ministry of Water Resources to expedite projects like the Diamer-Basha Dam, Kacchi Canal, Mohammad Dam & Nai Gaj Dam.
- 22 billion has been released to the Ministry of Communication to speed up the restoration and rehabilitation of Khuzdar_Kuchlak Road & old Bannu Road.
