105 billion granted by Government for the construction of various dams

The government has granted 105 billion rupees for the construction of dams in the Federal budget for 2022-23. The information was shared by Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, the Minister for Water Resources.

Mr. Shah said that the government is trying to speed up the construction of various dams, including the Diamer-Bhasha Dam, Dasu Dam and Mohamad Dam. The intention is to complete as soon as possible to preserve water.

The Minister of Water Resources said that many issues would be addressed with the construction of new dams. For instance, it will help deal with energy and water resources, generate business opportunities, and increase tourism in the areas.

Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah said that the government is striving to strengthen the national economy and offer relief to the farmers. He added that along dams excellent steps are taken in the agriculture sector as it is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy.
