Islamabad: Japan’s Government has committed additional grants amounting to approximately USD 9.8 million for two projects in Pakistan.

These projects involve the “Installation of Weather Surveillance Radar in Sukkur City” and the “Extension of Maternal and Child Health Care Facilities in Sindh.”

The primary objectives of these grants are to boost the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s capabilities in weather observation and forecasting and to support medical services at the Liaquat University Hospital in Hyderabad/Jamshoro, Sindh.

Officials from both governments graced the signing ceremony for the Exchange of Notes and Grant Agreements. Initially announced in August 2021, the Maternal and Child Health Care Facility project aims to establish a new centre at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Jamshoro. This center will be furnished with various departments and facilities dedicated to obstetrics and pediatrics. For the latest Real Estate News and Blogs, visit Realtorspk blogs.
