Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently concluded a successful auction of residential and commercial plots across various schemes, amassing an impressive revenue of PKR 470.22 million.
The auction, held in prominent areas including Jubilee Town, Mustafa Town, Tajpura, and LDA Avenue One, attracted eager participants seeking prime real estate investments.
Under the keen supervision of the auction committee, comprising esteemed officials such as the Finance Director, LDA Avenue One Director, and other relevant authorities, the event adhered meticulously to the pre-established terms and conditions. The transparency and fairness of the process ensured the satisfaction of both buyers and sellers.
Simultaneously, the LDA undertook an extensive operation to address encroachments and illegal constructions plaguing parking spaces along the renowned Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town. In collaboration with the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL), this joint operation aimed to reclaim public spaces and enforce compliance with reguations. Numerous establishments, including prominent brands, restaurants, food outlets, and plazas, faced the consequences of unauthorized occupation, with over 16 shops being demolished and an additional 12 shops being sealed due to non-compliance with repeated removal notices.
These endeavors signify the LDA’s steadfast commitment to preserving the city’s urban landscape and effectively utilizing public spaces. The LDA strives to foster a well-structured and sustainable environment for residents and businesses by conducting transparent auctions and combatting encroachments.
