Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated Margalla Avenue (first phase), that will connect Grand Truck Road with new sectors of Islamabad.
While talking at the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s vast natural resources and talented population as key assets. He expressed determination to overcome the country’s crisis and emphasized efforts toward the development and well-being of the people in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.
According to the details of the project, Margalla Avenue is a 35 Km long route, and Prime Minister has inaugurated Phase One, i.e., 5.5 Km long. The phase includes the construction of the road from the E-12 toll plaza to GT Road. The six-lane project phase is completed for 4 billion rupees.
After completion, the Avenue will consist of 6 lanes, and it will connect Sangjani on GT Road while Bharakahu on the east side, and the city on the west side.
